We are looking for a talented English Language Learner (ELL)/Multilingual Learner (MLL) Teacher for the school year.

Hourly Rate Range : $35.00-$45.00 per hour

• Responsibilities would include:
• Provide language-development instruction to English Language Learners/Multilingual Learners in individual, small-group, and inclusive classroom settings.
• Develop and implement differentiated lessons that support students' English proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
• Adapt curriculum, instructional materials, and teaching strategies to accommodate varying language-proficiency levels and learning needs.
• Administer language-proficiency assessments and monitor student progress using data-driven instructional practices.
• Support students in accessing grade-level academic content while developing their English-language skills.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, special education teachers, administrators, and support staff to promote student achievement.
• Communicate with students' families in a culturally responsive manner, utilizing interpreters or translated materials when appropriate.
• Participate in student-support meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional learning opportunities.
• Maintain accurate student records and documentation in compliance with North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI), Title III, and applicable federal and state requirements.
• Foster an inclusive and culturally responsive learning environment that values students' languages, identities, and backgrounds.
• Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Education, Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), Applied Linguistics, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Valid North Carolina Professional Educator's License with an appropriate English as a Second Language (ESL) K–12 licensure area or endorsement, issued by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI).
• Knowledge of English-language development standards, culturally responsive teaching practices, and differentiated instruction.
• Experience working with English Language Learners/Multilingual Learners in a school setting preferred.
• Experience administering and interpreting English-language proficiency assessments preferred.
• Fingerprint clearance and background check required.
