MedSurg Ortho/Neuro RN

This is a 13-week contract position.

Shift: 3x12s, Days, 07:00 - 19:00

The MedSurg Ortho/Neuro RN will provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse med/surg patient population, focusing on orthopedic and neurological cases. The role requires strong clinical skills, particularly in managing post-operative and trauma patients, ensuring patients receive high-quality care throughout their treatment journey.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a patient load of 1:6-7 while providing quality care.
• Comply with hospital protocols and procedures for patient care.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.
• Document patient information accurately using the Epic charting system.
• Administer medications and treatments in a timely manner.
• Monitor patient conditions and report changes to physician as necessary.
• Educate patients and families regarding care plans and health management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of MedSurg nursing experience; Ortho/Neuro experience preferred.
• SC Registered Nurse License or Compact License (must be active prior to start).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred.
• First-time travelers may be considered based on individual experience.
