About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Advancement Officer (CAO) to lead its fundraising strategy and revenue growth. The CAO will be responsible for major gifts, campaigns, and overall philanthropic income, and will work closely with the CEO and Board of Directors to set annual and long-range development plans. This role involves leading a team that oversees various donor segments, foundations, and events, and requires the ability to build and steward relationships with a diverse range of funding sources. The successful candidate will also be tasked with identifying and mitigating risks to sustainable revenue and will be expected to lead and manage the Advancement team effectively. Applicants for the CAO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred) and at least 10 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding annual revenue targets. The role demands a professional with excellent communication skills, business and financial acumen, and the ability to represent the organization credibly to donors and partners. Proficiency in donor CRM systems and the Microsoft Office suite is required, and experience with marketing and communications best practices is a plus.
