Strava's Brand & Social team owns how the brand shows up in culture, from always-on social to campaign moments and partnerships. We're building out a dedicated, in-house social team, and we need a Social Content Designer, Contractor to own execution of always-on content. You'll be the person who takes social concepts from idea to finished asset. You'll work closely with our Brand Manager and Social Community Manager, designing and animating Instagram-first creative, adapting it for TikTok, and building the templates and motion systems that let recurring content ship faster. You'll report directly to the Director of Brand & Social. This position is fully remote or hybrid depending on your location. Those near our New York office will work on-site three days per week. What You'll Do Design and animate social-first creative for Instagram, including Reels, Stories, carousels, and statics Adapt and originate content for TikTok in a platform-native way, not as a reformat of Instagram assets Turn Strava's platform data, app features, and community moments into visual concepts only someone with access to them could make Build reusable templates and motion systems so recurring content franchises ship on a predictable cadence Partner with the social team on the content calendar and on reactive, same-week creative Work inside Strava's brand system and help extend it for social formats What You'll Bring to the Team 2-3 years of experience in design experience A portfolio of social-native design and motion work, with Instagram as the primary proof point Fluency in After Effects, the Adobe Suite, and Figma (or equivalent tools), with comfort designing inside platform constraints and safe zones Working knowledge of TikTok formats, pacing, editing conventions, and current trending formats You take creative direction and run with it, making independent creative decisions within the brand system Comfort with a weekly shipping rhythm and occasional quick turnarounds Shooting and editing lightweight video on a phone or small kit is a plus Interest in running, cycling, or endurance sport is a plus, not a requirement Posted by: Maya Holley-Peretz, Director, Brand and Social #J-18808-Ljbffr Strava
