Noon Duty Aide- Banneker Elementary

Kansas City School District – Banneker Elementary – Kansas City, Missouri Noon Duty Aide Starting Date: Immediate Position Type: Part-Time Salary: $15 per hour Reports To: Building Principal FLSA Status: Non‑Exempt Position Summary The Noon Duty Aide supports staff and students by monitoring student activities, setting up the cafeteria before, during, and after lunch, and assisting children during each school lunch session. This role is essential for maintaining an orderly and safe environment during meal times and transitions. Responsibilities Student Supervision & Support: Assist children when entering the cafeteria during their lunch period in an orderly fashion. Receive children from the classroom teachers for the lunch period. Make sure each child receives utensils, milk, juice, and other supplies. Assure that children empty their trays when finished. Assure the children line up for recess or next activity at the appointed time. Assist as needed or instructed by the Administrator. Cafeteria Management: Must report 30 minutes prior to the first lunch session and remain 30 minutes after the last session to ensure the cleanliness and order of the cafeteria. Other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities None Qualifications Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent Preferred Qualifications Excellent communication and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to work well with teachers, students, and administrators. Physical Demands This job requires that the employee be able to sit, stand, walk, speak, hear, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and fingers; bend, stoop, and lift objects of at least ten pounds. The employee may occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Visual ability requires mono and color vision, close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Length of Work Year 10 months, part time, in person, hours vary by school. Benefits Part‑Time, no benefits provided. Job Requirements High School/Trade School degree preferred.
