We are looking for an entrepreneurial Designer+ to join our growing residential remodeling and design-build company.

This is a hybrid role combining design, client relationships, marketing, and sales/business development. It is designed to start flexibly and grow with the right person.

What You'll Do

• Meet with homeowners and assist with remodeling consultations
• Support design selections, presentations, and preconstruction
• Develop relationships with homeowners, realtors, designers, architects, and referral partners
• Generate and follow up on qualified remodeling leads
• Participate in sales presentations and client development
• Help develop our Santa Cruz and South Bay markets
• Participate in social media, video, advertising, events, and local marketing
• Represent the company professionally in client-facing and public settings
• Coordinate with our design, estimating, and construction teams
• Build and develop your own referral network and book of business

Compensation

Performance-based and uncapped.

The role can begin with approved hourly/project work and grow into a substantial full-time opportunity.

• Approximately $40/hour for approved initial marketing, business-development, design, and coordination work
• Project-based design/preconstruction compensation
• Commission opportunities on qualified business and construction projects
• Potential path to $70,000+ base/draw
• High-performing producers have potential for $150,000–$250,000+ total compensation

The higher the guaranteed compensation, the greater the expectations for hours, availability, client activity, lead generation, and measurable production.

Flexibility

We are open to part-time and hybrid arrangements during the initial ramp-up.

As you demonstrate consistency, independence, and revenue production, the role can become increasingly flexible.

This is not a passive work-from-home position. We are looking for someone who wants to build something.

Experience in interior design, remodeling, construction, real estate, architecture, luxury sales, marketing, or business development is a plus.

Technical expertise in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Bluebeam, Matterport, Moasure, or similar tools is valuable but not required.

The Opportunity

You will have the opportunity to work directly with an experienced California general contractor and business owner while developing skills across:

Design → Preconstruction → Sales → Marketing → Construction → Business Development

The role can start small.

The ceiling doesn't have to be.
