Manufacturing Buyer

We’re partnering with a great client to find a Buyer / Procurement Specialist who enjoys balancing supplier relationships, strategic purchasing, and operational execution. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative team and play a direct role in keeping manufacturing and supply chain operations running efficiently.

Rate Range: $32/hour to $39/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors

In this role, you’ll manage purchasing activities, support supplier relationships, optimize inventory levels, and help drive cost, quality, and delivery performance.

What You’ll Do

✔ Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and purchasing terms with suppliers

✔ Manage non-strategic supplier relationships and sourcing activities

✔ Issue RFQs, evaluate proposals, and execute purchase orders

✔ Expedite materials and ensure on-time delivery

✔ Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to support operations

✔ Help maintain inventory targets and resolve receiving/accounting issues

✔ Support vendor contract management and purchasing process compliance

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field

3–5+ years of purchasing/procurement experience

Understanding of supply chain strategy, inventory management, and vendor management

Experience negotiating with suppliers and managing purchasing activities

Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Experience with procurement platforms such as SAP, SCV, and/or ARIBA

Ability to prioritize, adapt, and perform in a fast-paced environment
