Brandywine, MD Pay From: $24 MUST: 3 years of experience as a pharmacy technician Recent experience working in a high volume retail/outpatient pharmacy a must Experience assisting patients on phone and in person Experience processing refills Strong computer skills and ability to verify insurance Experience following up on rejected prescriptions Strong customer service skills Strong data entry skills Comfortable working in a very fast paced environment Active Pharm Tech license in the state of MD If not certified in the state of Maryland must be nationally certified and willing to become state certified DUTIES: The Pharmacy Technician's duties include but are not limited to the following: Greet patients in person and over the phone in a very high volume setting Process prescriptions Verify insurance Handle high volume data entry Follow up with insurance companies on rejected prescriptions Document patient information in computer system Provide customer service support Greet customers and answer phones Quadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
