HVAC Service Technician

We are looking for an experienced HVAC Service Technician to support our growing HVAC Service activities. We operate primarily in the general Houston metro area and occasionally to the surrounding areas of Conroe, Baytown, Freeport, Galveston, and Bay City.

The HVAC systems that you will service include RTU's, package units, split systems, mini-splits, wall-mounts, and other common HVAC or refrigeration systems primarily at commercial and some industrial settings. Having chiller experience would be a plus (is not required). You must possess troubleshooting and problem-solving skills as well as a solid understanding of the refrigeration cycle. It is important that you can work both independently and in a group setting with others.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and diagnostics.
• Preventative maintenance (PM's).
• Scheduled or unscheduled maintenance.
• Installation.
• Repair.
• Create and submit daily work tickets and all required reporting in a detailed and accurate manner.
• Travel from site-to-site in a timely manner on an as-needed basis.
• Be positive and people-friendly with both coworkers, customers, and the general public.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum five (5) years of HVAC experience.
• EPA Card.
• Ability to work full-time Monday Friday including some overtime.
• Must be able to pass drug test (alcohol, urine, and hair-follicle) including pre-hire, annual, for-cause, and random testing.
• Must be able to pass a background check and motor vehicle record check.
• Must be able to complete and pass all safety training.
• TWIC Card. (If you do not possess a TWIC Card, you must apply for one immediately upon hire)

Pay & Technician Level

• $39 - $45 per hour, commensurate with experience.
• Benefits 100% paid by company (see below) with no added deduction for spouse or children.
• For this position, we are seeking a Journeyman level HVAC technician. Note: Prior union membership is not required. If you are not currently in the union, you will be required to join and we can help with the process.

Job Type

• Full-time.
• Monday Friday.
• Occasional overtime.

Service Area

• Primarily, the greater Houston metro-area.
• Additionally serving the Galveston, Baytown, Conroe, Freeport, and Bay City areas.

Requirements

• Must be willing and able to dispatch to calls in both commercial and industrial facilities.
• Must be willing to travel to various customer sites in the greater Houston area.
• Minimum of five (5) years of verifiable HVAC experience. 10+ years is preferred.
• Must pass background check and driving record check.
• Must pass drug test (breathalyzer, urinalysis, and hair-follicle) on a post-offer, pre-hire basis including annually, random, and for-cause testing.
• Must either be a current member of Pipefitter Union Local 211 or willing to join. If you are not a current member of the union, we will help with the process.
• Required: EPA License.
• TWIC Card: If you do not possess a TWIC Card, you must apply upon hire.
