The Pipefitters primary function is to configure, install, fit, and maintain various piping systems, and ensure smooth operation of those systems.

Stuart Mechanical provides comprehensive commercial and industrial mechanical services throughout Michigan. These HVAC services include sales, service, installation, building/automation/controls, design & builds, and preventative maintenance.

Stuart Mechanical is located in Auburn Hills, Michigan and serves the entire state of Michigan. The majority of our work is in the southeastern region. Markets served but not limited to: education, medical, automotive, religious, retail, technological, construction, fitness, property management companies, facility maintenance, etc.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, stick) and familiarity with piping codes such as ASME B31
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints and perform calculations for pipe measurements, angles and pressure loads.

Responsibilities

• Reading and analyzing blueprints and technical drawings to plan layouts, determine material needs, and ensure systems meet exact design specifications.
• System Fabrication: cutting, threading, and bending pipes to required angles using specialized equipment such as pipe benders and cutting torches.
• Joining pipe sections and fittings through welding, brazing, soldering, or mechanical methods (threading/cementing)
• Securing piping systems to structures using brackets, clamps and hangers.
• Using hydrostatic tests and pressure gauges to check for leaks and ensure system integrity before operation.
• Troubleshooting malfunctions and replacing worn-out components in existing systems to prevent downtime.
