Job Summary: As the Controls Systems Engineering Specialist , you will be responsible for providing technical leadership in the design, development, and enhancement of electro‑mechanical systems and mechatronic devices to optimize products and system. What You Will Do: Provides technical leadership in designing advanced electrical control systems and integrating electronic systems into electrification applications. Providing technical leadership in designing and implementing software to control and enhance electrification systems for charging and batteries. Provide technical direction in identifying and addressing areas of product weakness in finished products. Embedded Systems: Knowledge of embedded systems and their applications; ability to develop embedded systems with varying levels of complexity to control the operations of the machine it is embedded within. Extensive experience: demonstrates experience with software architecture when embedded systems become complex in scale; develops embedded system software using compilers, assemblers, and debuggers; develops embedded systems' prototype to ensure it meets performance and security expectations; ensures the hardware and software requirements are met while structuring an embedded system; manages embedded systems ranging from low to high complexity with multiple units and networks; utilizes various debugging tools to reduce the number of bugs in an embedded system. Requirements Analysis: Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non‑functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project. Extensive experience: plays an active or leading role in recording and storing requirement documents in various forms; ensures the successful completion of all major activities, tasks and deliverables pertaining to the requirement analysis stage; supervises the advanced use of requirements analysis tools and services, including prototyping and use cases; produces detailed functional and information requirements models and documentation; trains others on requirements walkthroughs and quality reviews; utilizes automated diagramming tools to ensure traceability of requirements. Education: Degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum.
