Registered Nurse (RN) – Arcata, CA

Travel Package:

Travel Rate (based on 40 hours): Hourly $20.05 Stipend (Lodging $910.00 + M&I $420.00) = $1,330.00

Total Comp: $2,132.00

Travel Eligibility: Candidates must live at least 50+ miles from the facility to qualify for Travel Pay.

Shift Details:

  • Monday - Friday, Days.
  • Shared call, nights & weekends
  • 40 hours per week

Nursing Specialty: Pre-op / PACU RN

RN PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provides nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia following surgical and diagnostic procedures.
  • Monitors vital signs, airway, respiratory status, level of consciousness, pain, nausea, and other post-anesthesia recovery needs.
  • Assesses patients for complications such as respiratory distress, bleeding, changes in blood pressure, or adverse reactions to anesthesia.
  • Administers medications, IV fluids, and other treatments as ordered while monitoring patient response.
  • Manages post-operative pain and nausea and provides appropriate interventions.
  • Collaborates with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare team members to ensure safe and timely patient recovery.
  • Provides patient and family education regarding post-operative care and discharge instructions.
  • Documents assessments, interventions, patient responses, and recovery status accurately.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Active CA State Registered Nurse License
  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
  • Minimum of one (1) year related work experience within the last 3 years
  • Valid BLS / ACLS Certification
  • TB clearance done within the past 12 months.
  • Additional certifications may be required
  • Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
  • Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., . BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements ).
