Associate Civil Engineer - Land Development & Municipal

Description Department: Civil/Municipal Location: Barnegat, NJ Compensation: $85,000 - $115,000 / year Associate Civil Engineer This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects in land development, infrastructure design, and municipal engineering. Key Responsibilities Develop civil engineering designs, including site layouts, grading, drainage, utilities, and roadways using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D). Prepare and submit permit applications to local, state, and federal agencies, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards. Work closely with project managers, surveyors, and other engineering disciplines to deliver comprehensive solutions tailored to client needs. Create engineering reports, feasibility studies, and calculations to support project design and decision‑making. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Experience 3–5 years of experience in civil engineering design, preferably in land development or municipal projects. Technical Proficiency Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant engineering software; knowledge of stormwater management software is a plus. Licensing Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification required; Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus or a willingness to obtain it. Skills Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented environment.
