As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Monitor in Seabrook, NJ , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by following site-specific procedures, managing access control points, and supporting security-related protocols for a technology, media, or telecommunications location.
• Monitor entrances and exits, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and document arrivals, departures, and deliveries in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Support emergency response activities when appropriate, provide directions and information to guests, and complete required reports related to access control and other security-related events.

Minimum Requirements:

• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
