In-House Counsel for Legal AI Training

Role Overview

Apply your technology transactions expertise to help improve AI systems used for real-world legal work. This part-time, remote contractor role focuses on training and evaluating AI through contract drafting, review, negotiation, and redlining scenarios.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete simulated contract negotiation and redlining exercises.
• Review and assess AI responses to contract scenarios, providing expert feedback that improves precision and performance.
• Create objective evaluation frameworks and grading criteria for rigorous, consistent assessment of AI contract-task performance.
• Work with product and research teams to refine data, guidance, and best practices for AI-driven contract review solutions.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of in-house experience focused on technology transactions.
• Experience negotiating MSAs, NDAs, and DPAs.
• Strong contract drafting, negotiation, review, and redlining skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to turn legal expertise into actionable feedback for AI systems.
• A demonstrated interest in innovation at the intersection of law and technology.
• Experience collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams in fast-paced environments.
• Experience with AI, legal technology, or training initiatives is preferred.

Work Terms

• Remote, part-time independent contractor engagement.
• Work is completed on a task basis. Average handling time is approximately 3.5 hours per task.

Compensation

• $90 to $130 per hour.
• Payment is task-based for completed work that meets project specifications. Effective hourly earnings depend on the number of tasks completed and approved.
