Deployment Manager - Data Center Build & Deploy

Salary: $140,000 - 180,000 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, IT, or equivalent hands-on experience
• At least 10 years of background in data center deployment, infrastructure delivery, or integration functions
• Demonstrated ability to direct technicians on the data center floor
• Practical experience deploying hyperscale AI, ML, or HPC infrastructure
• Strong command of structured cabling in dense environments and related troubleshooting
• Proven capability to oversee complex, cross-functional deployment programs
• Familiarity with high-speed networking fabrics such as InfiniBand or high-bandwidth Ethernet
• Experience using DCIM or deployment tracking tools
• High attention to detail and strong operational discipline
• Ability to perform effectively under compressed timelines and production pressure

• Lead the deployment of AI clusters, including Cerebras Wafer Scale Engine systems, high-speed switches, storage, and rack-level infrastructure
• Coordinate rack integration for high-density compute, specialized racks, and supporting power components
• Ensure deployments match our AI cluster architecture, topology, and scaling needs
• Oversee installation of high-speed interconnect cabling, including fiber and copper, for AI fabric traffic in data centers
• Manage inter-rack and intra-rack cabling for spine-leaf and pod-level designs
• Verify correct routing, airflow clearance, labeling, and testing of all AI-related cabling
• Work with facilities teams on power capacity, cooling readiness, containment, and grounding for dense racks
• Align deployment sequencing with facility commissioning milestones
• Confirm white-space readiness before rack and cluster rollout
• Direct technicians on the data center floor
• Troubleshoot cabling, connectivity, and integration issues that affect AI cluster bring-up
• Lead root-cause analysis for blockers tied to cabling, hardware placement, or facilities dependencies
• Support validation, burn-in, and handoff of AI clusters to operations teams
• Partner with network, server, AI platform, and operations teams to align on deployment plans and readiness
• Manage multiple parallel AI cluster deployments across sites or availability zones
• Communicate risks, dependencies, and milestones clearly to stakeholders
• Ensure deployments follow our design standards, structured cabling best practices, and deployment playbooks
• Validate as-built documentation, labeling accuracy, and deployment checklists
• Maintain accurate records of cluster configuration, cabling, and deployment status
• Enforce EHS, data center safety, and access control procedures during deployment
• Ensure safe handling of heavy, high-power equipment
• Identify and mitigate deployment and operational risks proactively
