CNC Machinist – 1st Shift

Location: Hendersonville, NC Area

Position Type: Full-Time / Temp-to-Hire

Pay Rate: $22.00 – $28.00 / hour (DOE)

Schedule: 1st Shift | 4 Days a Week

The Role

PrideStaff is partnering with a local manufacturing client to hire a skilled CNC Machinist. In this role, you will set up, program, and operate CNC equipment to manufacture precision metal components that meet strict quality standards. This opportunity offers a convenient 1st shift, 4-day workweek schedule along with weekly pay.

What You Will Do

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and milling machines while maintaining optimal safety and equipment performance.
• Program CNC equipment to produce complex metal parts with precision.
• Accurately interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings to establish job requirements.
• Perform machine calibration, tool changes, and fine adjustments to consistently hold tight tolerances.
• Promptly troubleshoot machining issues related to tooling, programming errors, or machine malfunctions to minimize downtime.
• Keep detailed documentation of setups, quality inspections, and production logs in line with quality standards.

What You Will Bring

• 1+ year Machinist with hands-on background operating, setting up, and programming CNC lathes and milling machines.
• Strong knowledge of CNC setup procedures, including fixture installation and tooling alignment.
• Proficiency in reading mechanical blueprints and experience using CAM software for toolpath generation and machine programming.
• Hands-on experience using precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, and CMMs.
• Working knowledge of hand tools, power tools, grinders, and metal machining processes (milling, turning, grinding, EDM).
• Strong basic math skills required to calculate exact measurements and tolerances.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $22.00 - $28.00
