Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced RF Test Development Engineer to design, develop, and implement advanced test solutions for RF electronic assemblies used in manufacturing and design verification.

The role will focus on developing and advancing RF test platforms capable of supporting products up to 50GHz, primarily within the Aerospace & Defense industry. The engineer will establish test strategies, architect test solutions, and provide technical leadership for production test development projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of production test solutions, including planning, design, integration, and implementation.

• Review product design requirements and specifications to develop effective production test strategies.

• Design and architect RF test hardware and software platforms supporting frequencies up to 50GHz.

• Develop test plans, proposals, schedules, resource estimates, and technical solutions.

• Provide technical leadership and direction to local and remote engineering teams.

• Develop and integrate test hardware, software, fixtures, and equipment.

• Support system integration, qualification, installation, and deployment of production test solutions.

• Debug tester issues using Design of Experiments (DOE), failure analysis, and troubleshooting methodologies.

• Analyze complex test-system tradeoffs and recommend appropriate technical solutions.

• Serve as a technical point of contact for customers and engineering stakeholders.

• Coordinate test solution deployment across multiple sites and engineering teams.

• Work with suppliers and technology partners to support test development activities.

• Contribute to long-term RF test technology, equipment, and skill-development strategies.

• Support engineering projects across Aerospace & Defense, Industrial, Smart Energy, and Healthcare applications.

Required Technical Skills

• 7 10 years of experience in test development engineering or a related field.

• Strong RF test development experience.

• Experience developing high-frequency RF test solutions, preferably up to 50GHz.

• Experience with RF test operations and RF electronic assemblies.

• Experience with National Instruments LabVIEW and/or TestStand.

• Programming experience with Python or other test automation languages.

• Experience with test fixture development and equipment integration.

• Strong understanding of hardware/software integration and debugging.

• Experience with RF test development below 6GHz and high-frequency RF testing.

• Knowledge of electrical automation and test equipment.

• Understanding of digital and analog electronics.

• Firmware and application software knowledge.

• Experience with system architecture and engineering control/system tools.
