Pilsen - May be required to travel to other sites, as needed Hybrid Mon-Fri (3 Days in Office) $49,000 - $57,500 Description: Provides trauma-informed, client-centered, and culturally responsive services to survivors of domestic violence (DV). Responsibilities include conducting intakes, assessments, treatment, and safety planning; offering individual and group counseling, psychoeducation, crisis intervention, and advocacy; and coordinating care with internal and external resources. The role also involves maintaining accurate documentation, participating in clinical reviews and reporting processes, engaging in outreach, advocacy, and community education efforts, and attending professional development trainings. Additionally, the counselor supports institutional advocacy for Latine survivors and may work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet client needs. Key Responsibilities: Engage and provide counseling services to survivors of domestic violence (across the lifespan) through individual and group services, as appropriate. Perform intakes and provide information, referrals, and linkages to survivors of domestic violence through walk-in, telephone, and scheduled intake services. Conduct assessments, treatment plans, and safety plans, using a participant-centered, trauma-informed, strength-based, and culturally responsive approach. Coordinate care with internal and external linkages and referrals to address survivors’ additional needs. Provide psychoeducation, intensive case management, crisis intervention, community referrals, and advocacy services to survivors. Participate in clinical reviews of cases as well as internal/external meetings. Complete accurate documentation of services rendered to survivors of domestic violence and maintain compliance with documentation standards as indicated by program, grant and organizational requirements; participate in ongoing file reviews. Participate in reporting process, assist with statistic data gathering, and evaluate program needs, as appropriate. Advocate at the institutional level on behalf of Latines through participation in advisory groups and other coalitions that focus on the issue of domestic violence. Support efforts to promote awareness of domestic violence, including participation in Domestic Violence Awareness Month and other community events. Participate in staff training sessions, in-services, staff meetings, clinical supervision, and professional group seminars or conferences to increase professional knowledge and enhance job skills. Assist with special projects assigned by the DV Counseling Supervisor and/or DV Director. Participate in the delivery of 42-hour DV training, community education, outreach and continuing education; assist with the National Domestic Violence Hotline, as needed. Provide prompt updates of external meetings to direct supervisor and ensure appropriate updates are provided to the DV team during team meetings. Will be required to work evening and/or Saturday hours to meet participants’ scheduling needs. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills: Effective interpersonal skills and written communication Demonstrate skills and abilities to advocate for and with survivors of diverse populations. Ability to multitask in an environment where priorities can change rapidly. Prioritize projects, manage time to meet deadlines. Strong communication, administrative, and organizational skills. Knowledge of Gender-Based violence and providing culturally relevant services preferred. Exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s degree required in social services or related field; Master’s degree preferred Physical Requirements & Working Conditions: This position has a hybrid work schedule which includes weekly in office presence. Standard office environment. Travel to other Mujeres office locations. Work evenings and weekends as needed. Benefits Summary: Regular full‑time employees are eligible for benefits. Winter Wellness Days: 3 additional paid days between December and March. Summer Hours: Early dismissal (1:00 p.m.) on alternating Fridays from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
