Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Days (3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a telemetry/neurology unit within a short-term acute care, Level II Trauma Center environment
• Care for post-surgical neurology patients and patients with varied neurological diagnoses
• Administer and interpret the NIH Stroke Scale accurately and consistently
• Maintain a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio in accordance with unit standards
• Float between units or sister facilities as operationally required
• Document all patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license; Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Neurology RN experience required, including comfort with the NIH Stroke Scale and post-surgical neurology patient care
• Willingness to commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submittal; post-offer RTO requests may not be considered
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a teaching hospital or Level II Trauma Center setting
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and neurological assessment tools
• Prior experience floating between multiple units or facilities
