Job Description Job Title: Forklift Driver The Forklift Driver safely operates sit-down forklifts and other material handling equipment to move raw materials, work-in-process inventory, and finished goods throughout a manufacturing facility. This role supports production operations by ensuring materials are delivered efficiently, maintaining inventory accuracy, and consistently following all safety procedures. Responsibilities Operate sit-down forklifts and other material handling equipment to move materials between production, assembly, storage, and shipping areas. Load and unload trucks, pallets, racks, and containers safely and efficiently while protecting product integrity. Supply production lines with required raw materials and packaging supplies to maintain continuous workflow and minimize downtime. Transport finished products from production areas to warehouse and staging locations for shipping and storage. Perform order picking activities as needed to support shipping, receiving, and inventory processes. Handle packaging tasks to prepare materials and products for storage or shipment in accordance with facility standards. Follow all facility safety procedures, including proper forklift operation, safe material handling practices, and use of required personal protective equipment. Maintain a clean and organized work area within small work cells to support efficient and safe operations. Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to coordinate material movements and support production schedules. Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or inventory discrepancies to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Morehead, KY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.50/hr.
