Position: Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) - Correctional Facility Location: Susanville, CA Schedule: Full-Time/5 days a week 8 hour shifts Pay Rate: $56 per hour (5% increase after 6 months) Benefits: Weekly pay Housing stipend available Overtime opportunities 100% paid health benefits for employees

Requirements:

Current and active Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) license
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) preferred

Responsibilities:

Provide a basic level of general behavioral and psychiatric nursing care to mentally or developmentally disabled patients in a correctional setting
Conduct daily clinical rounds and monitor patients with signs and symptoms of mental illness
Perform psychiatric nursing procedures under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Medical Doctor (MD), including: Administering medications and treatments, including hypodermic injections Taking and charting vital signs such as temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and respiration Performing all other basic general nursing procedures within the scope of licensure
