School Counselor

Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Counselor to support students at a school in Summerville, South Carolina . This is a full-time opportunity starting ASAP and continuing through the remainder of the 2026-2027 school year .

The ideal candidate will be committed to helping students achieve academic, social, emotional, and personal success while collaborating closely with teachers, administrators, families, and other school professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide individual and group counseling services to students.
Support students with academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
Develop and implement appropriate counseling interventions and support plans.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and school staff.
Assist students with academic planning, goal setting, and post-secondary preparation.
Maintain accurate and confidential student records.
Identify students who may need additional support or community resources.
Participate in meetings, professional development, and other school activities as required.
Follow all applicable school policies and state and federal regulations.

Qualifications:

Master's degree in School Counseling or a related field preferred/required based on applicable South Carolina requirements.
Appropriate South Carolina School Counselor certification/license required.
Previous experience working in a school setting preferred.
Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively with students, families, teachers, and administrators.
Commitment to maintaining a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.

Schedule: Full-time school schedule
Start: ASAP
Duration: Remainder of the 2026-2027 school year
