Responsibilities Give direction to clerks in the department while overseeing presentation and sanitation standards of the Dairy Department on the sales floor and in the backroom cooler. Process/stock products according to Sprouts dairy standards. Deliver outstanding customer service. Provide overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the department. Control inventory to recommended stock levels using proper ordering techniques to maximize sales and minimize stock loss. Ensure proper rotation of products to control freshness; remove out‑of‑code items. Handle price changes within the department. Engage and evaluate team members through coaching, feedback, and one‑on‑one development discussions; recommend merit increases via the bi‑annual performance review process. Attend and participate in in‑store meetings. Recruit, hire, and make promotion/transfer decisions in collaboration with the Store Manager. Exercise independent judgment to address Team Member concerns. Document corrective actions when needed, collaborating with business and HR partners to manage performance. Create and adjust schedules and staffing levels to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency. Communicate standards, expectations, policy changes, and product knowledge to team members. Lead a team that collaborates to deliver the finest quality of product, highest level of service, and the greatest experience customers receive. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age with a minimum of 2 years of retail grocery experience. Good communication skills and the ability to give and take direction in a team environment. Must work a flexible schedule that changes with business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Knowledge of personnel reports, margin reports, weekly sales numbers, and financial goals. Out‑going, friendly behavior and a positive attitude toward Team Members and customers. Ability to answer phones and take special orders. Perform general housekeeping in the department; clean and sanitize work area (tables, floor, walls, cases, cooler, freezer, etc.). Operate and use knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks; knowledge of scales and weight measures to accurately weigh and label products. Stand for up to 3 hours continuously for an 8‑hour shift; perform mandatory lifting and propelling tasks up to 40 lbs. within specified height and distance limits. Adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations and maintain a Food Handlers permit. Pay Range The pay range for this position is $17.90 – $26.70 per hour. Sprouts Farmers Market determines pay based on applicable experience and qualifications.
