Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurse - Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30)

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurse to join our team for a night shift role. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiac conditions, including telemetry monitoring and care for stroke/TIA patients. This position requires a strong background in cardiac care and telemetry management.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor telemetry patients and manage specialty drips including Cardizem, Amiodarone, Heparin, Protonix, and Lasix.
• Provide patient care for primary and secondary cardiac diagnoses, including stroke/TIA patients and stable cardiac Cath patients.
• Perform BiPAP/CPAP management, central line care, and interpretation of dysrhythmias.
• Administer IV medications and insulin according to protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV Teams, Respiratory Services, and Pharmacy for comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Cardiac Telemetry.
• Active RN license in the state of Maryland or Compact License.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Previous charge experience preferred.
• Experience with remote telemetry monitoring systems preferred.
