Assistant Director of Nursing

Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) / RN Location: Voorhees, NJ & Burlington, NJ Employment Type: Full-Time Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) / Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the nursing department and provide strong clinical leadership in a post-acute/LTC setting. The ideal candidate will have prior Post-Acute, Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), Long-Term Care (LTC), or Subacute experience and a strong understanding of clinical operations, regulatory compliance, and quality patient care. Key Responsibilities Assist the Director of Nursing with the overall management and coordination of nursing services. Provide clinical leadership and support to nursing staff across all shifts. Monitor resident care to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with facility standards. Assist with staff supervision, scheduling, education, and performance management. Support the implementation and monitoring of care plans. Review clinical documentation and ensure accurate and timely charting. Assist with quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives. Monitor infection prevention and control practices. Collaborate with physicians, residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members. Assist with regulatory compliance and preparation for surveys and inspections. Respond to clinical concerns and help resolve issues in a timely and professional manner. Support the DON with daily nursing operations and other clinical initiatives as needed. Qualifications Current, active RN license in the State of New Jersey. Required: Previous Post-Acute, Skilled Nursing, Long-Term Care, or Subacute experience. Previous ADON, Assistant DON, Unit Manager, Charge Nurse, or other nursing leadership experience preferred. Strong clinical assessment and leadership skills. Knowledge of NJ nursing facility regulations and long-term care standards preferred. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively with nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams.
