Assistant Store Manager

Compensation Pay Range: $17.75 - $25.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance, or premiums which may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met. Overview The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance and store operations, and manage the store during the Store Manager’s absence and/or when working opposing shifts. The role leads the store team members in servicing customers. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply. Essential Job Functions Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers. Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom, including team member execution on customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc…). Work with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed, especially during peak retail business hours (lunch, late‑afternoons, evenings, weekends, etc.). Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback on goal achievement, coaching/mentoring team members, and ensuring training is current. Assist in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates, and collaborating with management to select qualified team members. Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy. Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders in a timely manner, and contact customers upon shipment arrivals as needed. Utilize electronic outside purchase order ledger to handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and according to procedure. Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently and friendly manner, issuing refunds accurately and supporting merchandise staging. Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, are invoiced before product leaves the store. Communicate Zipline messages, and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned. Ensure team members comply with company policies regarding posted work schedule, approval of changes/deviations, clocking in/out, and related procedures. Perform all store opening/closing duties, including day‑end procedures, securing money/deposits, preparing bank deposits, ensuring security lights are on, locking doors, arming/disarming alarms, and securing delivery vehicles. Assist the store manager in maintaining the store building, parking lot, exterior signage/lighting, computer hardware, in‑store service/test equipment, and delivery vehicles. All other duties as assigned. Skills, Education, Knowledge, Experience, Abilities Required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification, and RSS Certification. Desired: Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification. Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired). Benefits Competitive wages & paid time off.
