  • Review shortage reports, demand signals, and production schedules to proactively address material needs.
  • Monitor supplier performance, including lead times, delivery reliability, pricing changes, and potential supply risks; escalate issues as needed.
  • Support price negotiations and cost‑containment initiatives with approved suppliers.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier documentation, and compliance files (e.g., insurance certificates, contractor documentation).
  • Participate in supplier evaluation, qualification, and continuous improvement efforts as part of the Supply Chain team.
  • Support and maintain kanban or supplier‑managed inventory programs, ensuring appropriate levels and timely replenishment.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Operations, Planning, Quality, and Finance to resolve purchasing, inventory, and delivery issues.
  • Partner with Sales during the quotation process by gathering supplier pricing, evaluating material availability, and providing cost and lead time inputs to support timely and accurate customer proposals.
  • Assist with reviewing material classifications and inventory strategies based on changes in demand or business needs.
  • Contribute to ongoing process improvement efforts related to purchasing, sourcing, and supply chain efficiency.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Working knowledge of purchase order systems and ERP/MRP tools.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across functions.
  • Basic negotiation and supplier management skills.
  • Experience supporting kanban, just‑in‑time, or lean manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with supplier qualification, cost‑reduction initiatives, or inventory optimization.
  • Experience working with domestic and international suppliers preferred.
