Overview The College of Engineering at UC Berkeley is recognized for educational and research excellence. Richmond Field Station (RFS) Operations and Facilities Management maintains the physical plant at the Richmond site and serves faculty, students and corporate tenants. Responsibilities Oversaw daily operational integrity of the 150‑acre RFS campus, supervising skilled professionals in critical utility systems (High‑Voltage, Water/Sewer) and research environments. Directed the implementation and monitoring of site‑wide technical systems, including a 52‑camera surveillance network and electronic access control. Responsible for budget recommendations and monitoring of site resources using UC fiscal systems. Developed and implemented maintenance schedules and inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA, EH&S and stormwater protocols. Participated in the development of site‑wide policies and served as an advisor to unit administration. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related area or equivalent experience. Solid knowledge of facilities maintenance policies and procedures. Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills, including active listening, critical thinking and mentoring. Experience supervising facility maintenance and improvements, including basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical maintenance and custodial work. Salary & Benefits This position is a 100% FTE career position eligible for full benefits. The budgeted salary range is $101,600 to $145,700 yearly. This role is FLSA exempt and paid monthly.
