REGISTERED NURSE, HOSPITAL CLINIC - MEDICAL ONCOLOGY

Overview The Nurse Navigator in Infusion is a clinical expert who coordinates and administers patient care treatment regimens, research components, and program outreach for patients diagnosed with cancer. The Navigator assists patients and families in navigating hospital and community services to meet their health and wellness needs and provides personalized, high-touch care advocating for whole-person health. Responsibilities Coordinate and administer treatment regimens and related research components. Assist patients and families through hospital and community services. Provide personalized clinical and high-touch care, advocating for integration of whole-person health. Tailor services to each patient’s unique wellness needs. Participate in health screenings, provide patient education, and offer appropriate referrals. Deliver direct patient clinical care while cultivating relationships with patients, families, physician partners, healthcare team members, and community partners. Administer and manage treatment regimens and collect data on contacts and referrals as outlined by the department manager. Consistently demonstrate behaviors that model the PSJH core values and the hospital’s mission statement. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing California Registered Nurse License Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN), Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse (AOCN), Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner (AOCNP), Advanced Oncology Certified Clinical Nurse Specialist (AOCNS), Certified Breast Care Nurse (CBCN), or NCBC – Breast Patient Navigator Certification (or successful completion of one of these certifications within 1 year of hire) Five (5) or more years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a health care setting.
