Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To The Loan Servicing Specialist is responsible for the boarding and ongoing maintenance of consumer, residential, and commercial loans. This role supports loan lifecycle activities and ensures accurate servicing, compliance, and customer support. This is a hybrid position located in downtown St. Petersburg, FL. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Perform loan boarding and maintenance within the Bank’s core system. Process loan modifications, including deferrals and forbearances. Handle customer payments and payoff requests, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email regarding balances, payment details, and loan status. Monitor and manage insurance tracking, ensuring appropriate coverage is maintained. Track and follow up on ticklers, including: Insurance exceptions Collateral perfection Delinquent property taxes Process lien releases upon loan payoff. Collaborate with loan officers, underwriters, processors, branch staff, and insurance companies to resolve issues and ensure smooth loan servicing operations. Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Minimum of 6 months of loan operations experience required. Ability to communicate effectively with all internal business partners and external customers. Strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to perform independently in setting objectives and determining how to proceed. Intermediate understanding of commercial and consumer loan structures. Ability to research moderately complex issues. Working knowledge of federal and state compliance laws and regulations including a proven ability to apply these requirements to business practices and systems.
