What You’ll Do Payroll Owning the full-cycle payroll process for a multi-state workforce, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time, every time. Partnering closely with HR, Accounting, and Finance teams to ensure seamless data flow, resolve discrepancies, and support payroll-related reporting and audits. Managing garnishments and benefits deductions, preparing payroll journal entries, reconciling payroll data, and responding to employee inquiries with professionalism and clarity. Serving as a subject matter expert on payroll laws and best practices while continuously ensuring accuracy, accountability, and efficiency across all payroll processes. Maintaining compliance with all applicable federal and state payroll laws, including timekeeping, tax payments, garnishments, and levies. Accounts Payable Accurately enter and code accounts payable and credit card transactions and ensure timely payments to vendors. Assist in reconciling monthly general ledger accounts. Answer questions from external and internal sources relating to payroll and accounts payable functions. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures. Additional duties as needed to support the accounting and finance teams. Qualifications An associate degree in accounting or related field and one year of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Two or more years of payroll experience with prior multi-state payroll experience strongly preferred. Technical proficiency with payroll and accounting software and Microsoft Office products. Strong knowledge of payroll, accounting principles and financial processes and regulations. Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication and collaboration skills. Excellent organizational, time management, detail orientation, proactive problem-solving and accuracy skills. Must have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively while maintaining a professional, customer‑focused demeanor. Solid understanding of federal and state wage and hour laws and government reporting requirements, including third‑party garnishments, child support, etc. #J-18808-Ljbffr
