About the Mechanical Assembler Role:
As a Mechanical Assembler in our cutting-edge Hollister, CA manufacturing environment, you will execute a variety of assembly tasks spanning general, electronic, and mechanical functions. You'll work with mechanical and electronic components, interpret drawings and schematics, perform assembly and rework tasks, and support a safe, quality-focused manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble components and subassemblies based on detailed instructions, schematics, and visual aids
- Perform electronic assembly tasks such as PCB loading, soldering to IPC standards, and repairing anomalies under microscopes
- Handle inert and energetic materials with precision, utilizing analytical balances and powder-press equipment safely
- Set up and assemble subcomponents, perform cabling and soldering, ensuring quality and safety standards are met
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and product quality
- Maintain certifications through ongoing training and strictly follow all safety protocols, including ESD and explosive area procedures
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1-2 years of experience in electronic, mechanical, or general assembly preferred
- Strong mechanical skills, dexterity, and fine motor coordination
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, drawings, and schematics effectively
- Proficiency in IPC J-STD and IPC-A-610 standards for electronic assembly
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work safely in environments involving explosive materials
Work Schedules Available:
Friday–Sunday, 5:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
