Account Executive – CCTV & Access Control Solutions

Control Services has delivered building automation and integrated facility technology solutions since 1974. The independently owned Nebraska company provides turnkey design, installation, maintenance, and service across building automation, HVAC, energy management, systems integration, and electronic security. Its Sentrixx Security division provides commercial access-control and video-surveillance solutions as part of an integrated smart-building offering.

Role Summary

The Account Executive will develop and expand commercial security relationships throughout Nebraska and Western Iowa, helping customers solve security and operational challenges through access control, video surveillance, and integrated security technologies.

This role is best suited for an experienced security professional who understands the technology, can develop accurate solutions and estimates, and enjoys building long-term customer relationships. Successful sellers also have the opportunity to expand into building automation and mechanical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new commercial security customers and expand existing accounts.
• Meet with executives, facility leaders, contractors, engineers, and other decision-makers.
• Assess access-control and video-surveillance requirements.
• Select appropriate security technologies based on application and customer requirements.
• Develop estimates, proposals, system recommendations, and business cases.
• Manage opportunities from prospecting through negotiation and close.
• Build strategic plans for high-value target accounts.
• Maintain a healthy pipeline and accurate forecasts.
• Use HubSpot/CRM tools to document opportunities and customer activity.
• Participate in pre-bid reviews with operations.
• Partner with technical and operations teams to ensure executable, profitable solutions.
• Identify opportunities to introduce building automation and mechanical solutions into security relationships.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial security, access-control, CCTV/video-surveillance, or security-integration experience.
• Working knowledge of commercial access-control and video-surveillance technologies.
• Ability to assess requirements and develop/estimate turnkey solutions.
• Demonstrated customer-facing communication skills.
• Consultative B2B selling ability.
• Strong numerical and commercial judgment.
• Ability to develop new business and maintain long-term relationships.
• Team-oriented approach to working with operations and technical staff.

Preferred Qualifications

• Security integration sales experience.
• Design-build or plan/spec construction experience.
• Existing Nebraska/Western Iowa relationships.
• Experience selling into complex commercial/institutional facilities.
• Exposure to BAS, HVAC controls, mechanical services, or smart-building solutions.
• Experience with multiple security platforms/products.
