Godby Hearth & Home is hiring a full-time Installer for custom glass and home products. This is steady, year-round work with strong benefits, optional overtime in the busy season, and a close-knit team of fewer than 30 people who actually like working together.
The basics- Pay: $20–$25/hr, depending on experience
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–5:00 PM (about 45 hrs/week), with optional weekend overtime
- Location: Indianapolis, IN
- Type: Full-time, year-round
- Install custom shower glass, mirrors, and door hardware in new and existing homes
- Troubleshoot and repair shower door enclosures
- Install bathroom fixtures and hardware
- Read and interpret construction blueprints and documentation
- Follow OSHA and company safety guidelines
- Use hand and power tools proficiently
- Lift up to 75 lbs on your own, and 200+ lbs as part of a team
- Basic construction skills and comfort using hand and power tools
- Entry-level welcome — we'll train you on custom glass and shower door work. Prior construction, install, or skilled-trade experience is a plus, not a must.
- Able to read (or learn to read) construction blueprints
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Someone who takes ownership, solves problems as they come up, and takes pride in their work
- A reliable team player who shows up and holds themselves accountable
