Details Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) setting within a children's hospital 3x12 Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM Scheduled to work every other weekend, subject to change based on RTO and unit needs Floating required to NICU, PICU, ED, stepdown, and Medical-Surgical units as needed Cares for patients with congenital heart disease, post cardiac surgery, ECMO, and VAD (LVAD/RVAD) Requirements Active OH state or Compact RN license required in hand Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required Minimum 2 years of CVPICU or PICU experience required Minimum 2 years of experience in a pediatric hospital required (hard stop requirement) Skilled in ventilator management, ETT/NT suctioning, and care of ventilated patients Skilled in arterial line management, central line care, and IV therapy/phlebotomy Skilled in hemodynamic monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management Experience with CRRT, continuous sedation, and IV vasopressors Experience with pediatric dosage calculations and isolation precautions/PPE Two professional references required, at least one from a supervisor or manager (charge references not accepted) Additional Information Provide critical care nursing to pediatric cardiovascular patients, including pre- and post-operative cardiac surgery care Floating to other units is a standard expectation and point of emphasis at this facility No call/no-show policy strictly enforced Candidates must not have worked in a permanent role at this facility within the last 2 years Local candidates within a 60-mile radius are not eligible for this position American Traveler Job ID P-759054.
