Location New York, NY (hybrid 3 days/week) About the Opportunity A leading financial services organization is seeking a Product Manager, AI to help define and execute the next generation of AI, data, and analytics capabilities across the enterprise. This role sits within the AI & Data Product organization and is responsible for shaping product strategy, defining requirements, managing roadmaps, and driving execution for AI platforms, agentic AI solutions, and AI governance initiatives. The ideal candidate combines strong product management expertise with deep understanding of generative AI technologies and the ability to operate effectively in highly regulated environments. Position Summary The Product Manager, AI will be responsible for owning the strategy, roadmap, backlog, and delivery of AI and data products across the organization. This individual will serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, helping translate complex business challenges into scalable AI-driven solutions. The ideal candidate has experience building and deploying agentic AI solutions, AI platforms, or governance frameworks in production environments and is comfortable navigating ambiguity while driving alignment across diverse stakeholder groups. This role requires a strong balance of strategic thinking, technical fluency, executive communication, and hands‑on product leadership. Key Responsibilities Product Strategy & Roadmap Define and own the product vision, roadmap, and backlog for AI and Data initiatives. Develop product strategies focused on agentic AI systems, AI platforms, and AI governance capabilities. Align product investments with enterprise business objectives and long‑term technology strategy. Identify opportunities to create measurable business value through AI and data products. Agentic AI & AI Platform Leadership Drive the development and scaling of agentic AI solutions in production environments. Partner with engineering and AI teams to deliver foundational AI platform capabilities. Help establish governance, guardrails, evaluation frameworks, and responsible AI practices. Support enterprise adoption of generative AI technologies and emerging AI standards. Requirements & Solution Definition Translate complex business problems into actionable product requirements and user stories. Bring structure and clarity to ambiguous problem spaces. Define functional and technical requirements that support scalable implementation. Ensure solutions meet business, regulatory, and operational requirements. Stakeholder Management & Executive Communication Collaborate closely with business leaders, technology teams, data engineers, data scientists, governance teams, and analytics stakeholders. Present product strategies, roadmaps, and progress updates to senior leadership and executive audiences. Translate technical concepts into business‑friendly language for non‑technical stakeholders. Build consensus and drive alignment across highly matrixed teams. Agile Product Delivery Lead end‑to‑end product execution from ideation through production deployment and adoption. Prioritize initiatives based on business impact, technical feasibility, and strategic alignment. Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and roadmap planning. Track product success through adoption metrics, ROI measurements, and business outcomes. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, or business‑facing technology leadership roles. Proven experience delivering AI, data, analytics, or machine learning products. Hands‑on experience building or scaling agentic AI systems in production environments. Experience developing or supporting AI platforms and AI governance capabilities. Strong understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, agentic frameworks, and modern data platforms. Experience translating business requirements into technical product specifications. Demonstrated ability to influence engineering teams and drive technical decision‑making without direct authority. Experience presenting to executive leadership and senior stakeholders. Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and product delivery processes. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience delivering enterprise‑scale AI products from concept through production deployment. Knowledge of AI governance, model evaluation frameworks, responsible AI controls, and model risk management. Familiarity with MLOps practices, experimentation frameworks, and A/B testing methodologies. Experience within financial services, insurance, wealth management, or other regulated industries. Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) and emerging AI interoperability standards. Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Agile project management tools. Master’s degree in a technical or business‑related field. Strong understanding of AI orchestration frameworks, LLMs, and generative AI ecosystems. AI Governance & Platform Strategy Experience defining AI governance frameworks, model evaluation processes, responsible AI controls, and enterprise AI platforms.
