Cytotechnologist (Day Shift)

Location: Maryland

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 5x8 Days: Monday - Friday, 08:30 AM - 05:00 PM

Job Description: The Cytotechnologist will be responsible for evaluating cellular samples and performing various cytological procedures. This role requires strong cytotechnology skills suitable for an inpatient laboratory setting. The position is open to first-time travelers with sufficient experience in cytology.

Responsibilities

• Assist in collection and preparation of cytological specimens.
• Perform staining and quality control procedures.
• Make cytological smears and prepare specimens for diagnostic evaluation.
• Collaborate with pathologists for preliminary diagnoses and patient care.
• Label and identify specimens accurately.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1 year of experience in cytotechnology; first-time travelers accepted.
• ASCP certification required; ASCP-C and ASCP-CT preferred.
• Active MD or Compact license required at the time of submission.
• BLS Certification required.
