We are looking for employees that are excited and enthusiastic about working with children and interfacing with parents.
The ideal candidate has the following skills:
- Reliable and can adhere to the scheduled days/times of work
- Available between the hours of 3-8pm on most weekdays
- Attention to detail
- Team-oriented
- Strong communication via email/phone/in-person
- Enjoys working with children of all ages
- Strong ability to multi-task
- Strong ability to encourage children with praise and positive reinforcement
- Experience with children preferred, not required
Job requirements include, but not limited to:
- Working one-on-one with students between the ages of 3 - 15
- Grading student math & reading homework using answer books
- Managing the Kumon library
- Communicating with parents and students on their needs and sharing progress updates
- Organizing the orientation materials and schedule
- Attending bi-weekly staff training
This position pays between $13 - $17/hour depending on qualifications. The days are Mondays from 4-6pm and Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays from 3-7pm. The pay schedule is once a month on the 5th of the month. Please only apply if you are comfortable with this.
