Travel Physical Therapist (PT) Fusion Medical Staffing seeks a skilled Physical Therapist for a 13‑week travel assignment in Daytona Beach, Florida. Required Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) Preferred Qualifications Doctorate degree in physical therapy Physical Therapy experience (New grads also welcome) Other certifications or licenses may be required Summary The Physical Therapist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients with physical impairments to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life. Works in hospitals, clinics, and rehabilitation centers creating personalized evidence‑based treatment plans. Essential Work Functions Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, examinations, and history. Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and goals. Implement treatment plans using various techniques to improve mobility and reduce pain. Operate specialized equipment safely, and maintain device calibration. Assess progress, adjust plans, and document outcomes in the medical record. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and others for coordinated care. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise, body mechanics, injury prevention, and self‑management. Maintain a safe treatment environment and adhere to infection control and safety protocols. Engage in quality assurance and professional development activities. Collaborate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions. Perform other duties within scope of practice. Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication skills. Ability to read, write, and communicate fluently in English. Proficiency in following written and verbal instructions, and PC skills. Physical Abilities Remain stationary, move about, handle equipment (50–100 lb), push, pull, and bend. Interpersonal Skills Work effectively with diverse personnel while maintaining a positive attitude and professionalism. Technical/Motor Skills Perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about while assisting with procedures or equipment use. Mental Requirements Cope with frequent public contact while meeting deadlines under pressure. Work under close supervision occasionally and also independently. Handle irregular activity schedules and maintain concentration to detail. Sensory Requirements Possess visual acuity and effective communication abilities.
