About the Role

We are seeking an experienced RPA & Interface Specialist to join our People & Culture function, supporting automation and integration across Health New Zealand's HR and payroll systems.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, maintaining and optimising system interfaces and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions that improve accuracy, efficiency and performance. You will translate business requirements into technical solutions, manage testing and implementation, and work closely with stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve complex data and system issues.

This role offers the opportunity to work on nationally significant automation programmes, enhance system capability, and contribute to continuous improvement across HR and payroll operations.

About the Team

You will be part of the Rostering & Automation team within People & Culture, working alongside Payroll, Digital Services, and national integration teams. This is a highly collaborative environment that partners across the organisation to deliver robust, scalable system and automation solutions

About You

You are a technically strong and solutions-focused specialist with strong experience in system integration, SQL and automation tools. You enjoy solving complex problems, working across teams, and delivering practical improvements to systems and processes.

You will bring:

• Strong SQL capability, including experience with SQL Server, SSIS and SSRS
• Experience working with RPA tools (e.g. Power Automate Desktop)
• Solid understanding of systems integration and interfaces, ideally within HRIS or payroll environments
• Strong analytical thinking, testing methodologies and documentation skills

Experience in project delivery, automation initiatives, or working in complex environments such as healthcare will be advantageous.
