Job Location: Rapid City, SD

Scheduling

• Varied schedule: Discussed during interview with Leadership
• Primarily work night shifts
• Weekend rotation: weekend rotation, discussed during interview
• No call required
• Overtime optional
• Holiday Expectations: holiday rotation required
• Approval of time off? Manager conducts interviews

General Information

• Level II Trauma Center/Rural South Dakota
• Will you accept a traveler with 1-year experience? Yes
• Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes

Types of Patients

• Heavy trauma population Falls, MVAs, GSW, Stabbings, etc
• Will scan throughout various areas - Inpatient/ED/Outpatient, will do higher level scans such as Angiograms, etc.
• Scans per Day:
• ED 60-70 per 24 hrs
• Inpatient - Varies
• Outpatient Approx. 50/day

Equipment Types

• Siemens only 4 Scanners within the department

Required Certifications

• BLS
• ARRT-CT

Education Requirements

• Must graduate from a Radiology Program that will allow them to sit for (ARRT)(R) (CT) American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification with advanced certification in Cat Scan
• No State licensure is required

Skills Required

• CTA (preferred)
• Team oriented; Experience in comparable facility (size/acuity)

• EPIC (preferred)

Orientation

• 2 weeks

Support within the Department

• There is always another CT Tech on with you 24/7
• Always staffed with another CT Tech
