Tool Maker

Tool Maker We are seeking a highly skilled Tool Maker to independently set up, operate, and maintain manual and CNC machining equipment to produce precision tooling and components. This role requires the ability to read complex blueprints and specifications, hold close tolerances, and support all aspects of tool room operations with minimal supervision. Responsibilities Independently set up, program, and operate manual and CNC milling machines, lathes, centerless grinders, and surface grinders to manufacture, alter, and repair tooling, dies, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and other precision components to exact specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, and verbal instructions while using precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, indicators, and protractors to ensure all finished parts meet strict tolerance and quality standards. Perform complete tool room operations including material preparation, first-piece inspections, final inspections, fitting and assembly of components, tool sharpening and replacement, troubleshooting machine issues, and completing required production and inspection documentation. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while collaborating with supervisors and team members, replenishing materials, monitoring machine performance, and ensuring all tool room equipment remains in proper working condition.
