Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a 12-hour night shift assignment in a CT scan unit requiring ARRT CT certification and at least 1 year of CT experience.

Details

• Rad CT Scan unit within a 300-bed hospital, Level 3 trauma center
• 2 rooms equipped with Philips CT scanners on Main Campus
• Patient population includes chest, abdomen, pelvis, head, c-spine, and PE studies for ages 0-100
• Unit performs approximately 40 CT scans per 24-hour period
• Uses EPIC for documentation and PYXIS for medication system
• Respiratory and anesthesia support available 24/7
• 12-hour night shifts, approximately 36 hours per week, schedule includes 3 consecutive shifts, 1 day off, then 3 more shifts, followed by 6 days off
• Weekend coverage required at least every other weekend, as scheduled
• Call and holiday coverage as scheduled, no floating required
• Not self-scheduling

Requirements

• ARRT CT certification required
• NY license required, or proof of application with applied date, at time of consideration; license required if applicable
• NY venipuncture (NYS DOH) certification required for injections; NY injection certification preferred and can be obtained during orientation if needed
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience required, including 1 year in CT specialty
• EPIC experience within the past 2 years required
• Must be able to perform venipuncture and injections as part of unit protocol

Additional Information

• Perform CT imaging across a range of studies including chest, abdomen, pelvis, head, c-spine, and PE studies
• Tech will perform patient injections as part of daily responsibilities
• 14 days of orientation provided
• Must work 2 of the following 3 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas/Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day/Eve
• Dress code includes gray scrubs, closed-toe shoes, secured hair, and facial hair that permits proper respirator fit
• Employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
• Reliable personal transportation strongly recommended as public transportation is not accessible in the area
• Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires from November through April
• Local candidates accepted
• Radius-based pay tiers apply based on direct-line mileage: local (50 miles or less), radius (51-100 miles), and travel (101+ miles)
