Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/05/2026 Duration: 26 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse position available in a healthcare facility located in a vibrant campus setting. This role involves providing specialized care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum. The position offers an excellent opportunity for experienced professionals to work in a collaborative environment, with flexibility for holiday requests and contract durations ranging from 13 to 26 weeks. Job Details Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week. Required Qualifications: Certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS), Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Association of Womens Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Intermediate. At least 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery is required. Valid state license with a compact license in hand at submission. Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred. Patient Diagnoses: Labor and preterm labor cases. Clinical Experience: Circulating, OB-GYN procedures, post-operative and pre-operative care, scrub assist, low-risk antepartum, and low-risk labor and delivery. Special Procedures: Administration of blood and blood products, cardioversion/defibrillation, use of cooling/warming blankets, epidural, PCA, and syringe pumps, wound vac, and management of medications such as heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate. Special Equipment & Responsibilities: Attends all deliveries, high-risk deliveries, GYN surgeries, and nursery transitions. Experience with high-risk obstetrics, postpartum, and labor triage essential. Float: Flexibility to float to Post-Partum and possibly Labor & Delivery at other facilities. Additional Information: Candidates must be available to work three of five major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).
