Job Overview Travel Nurse RN – Operating Room (OR) in Big Spring, Texas Specialty: OR – Operating Room Discipline: RN Start Date: 07/13/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Responsibilities & Skills Assist in surgeries including appendectomy, C‑sections, cholecystectomy, circumcision, hernia repair, laparoscopic procedures, and general OR cases. Participate in code responses and infection control protocols. Handle specimen labeling and passage. Start peripheral IVs and apply Universal Protocol (Time Out) procedure. Manage wound care and ensure patient safety. Work effectively in adolescent, adult, and pediatric age groups. Qualifications Circulating experience required. At least 2 years of nursing experience and prior travel experience required. Certification in ACLS, BLS, and PALS (required). Trauma Level II experience preferred. Charting system proficiency in Epic required. COVID‑19 vaccination required – medical or religious exemptions only. Flu vaccination required – medical or religious exemptions only. Travel experience highly preferred. License in hand required and must be submitted before start date.
