Adjunct Professor of Mathematics

George Fox University announces a part-time, adjunct faculty position in mathematics, to begin in the fall and/or spring semester, as needed. The School of Natural Sciences is seeking an instructor who is enthusiastic about educating the next generation of students in our growing programs. Responsibilities Primary teaching responsibilities involve face to face lecture sections of Discrete Mathematics on the Newberg campus, three days a week. Other courses may also be available. Course Description: Discrete Mathematics (3 hours) An introduction to discrete mathematics. Topics covered include sets, functions, math induction, combinatorics, recurrence, graph theory, trees, and networks. Three lectures per week. Qualifications B.S. or higher is required in mathematics or related field. M.S. or higher preferred. Previous teaching experience in related fields is desirable (but not required). Excellent professional, interpersonal, organization, and communication skills. A commitment to working with a diverse population of students is essential; demonstrated experience in this area is preferred.
