Our senior doctor has cared for some of our patients since they were as young as six years old, with some families now spanning three generations of care. At Pearle Vision, we take great pride in having a positive team environment, prioritizing work-life balance, and providing quality, accessible care to our patients. Our hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm, and Saturday, 9:00am to 3:00pm. Saturdays are optional, and we are closed on Sundays, allowing for a schedule that supports a healthy work-life balance.

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Optometrist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive eye care services, perform detailed ophthalmic examinations, and deliver exceptional patient care. Your expertise will help diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of eye conditions, ensuring optimal visual health for our diverse patient population. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients’ lives through precise diagnostics, personalized treatment plans, and compassionate communication.

Duties

• Conduct thorough ophthalmic examinations utilizing diagnostic imaging equipment and tonometry to assess eye health and detect disease states.
• Perform ophthalmic diagnosis and develop tailored treatment plans for conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, and refractive errors.
• Fit contact lenses and provide guidance on proper contact lens care and maintenance.
• Operate medical equipment safely and accurately, including ophthalmic diagnostic imaging devices and vital signs monitoring tools.
• Maintain detailed medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Communicate effectively with patients to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive eye care strategies.
• Manage disease states through ongoing patient education, follow-up examinations, and coordination with healthcare providers as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid licensure as an Optometrist with relevant state or regional licensing boards.
• Proven experience in ophthalmology or optometry practice, including optical experience and pediatrics.
• Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and ophthalmic diagnosis techniques.
• Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation of medical records.
• Skilled in the operation of ophthalmic diagnostic imaging equipment, tonometry devices, and other medical equipment.
• Familiarity with HIPAA compliance standards to ensure patient confidentiality and data security.
• Excellent client communication skills with a focus on customer service and patient care excellence.
• Ability to manage contact lens fitting procedures and assess disease states effectively.
