Join our team as a Cytotechnologist and play a crucial role in the screening and assessment of cytology specimens.
What You'll Be Doing
- Screen gynecological and non-gynecological cases daily
- Assist with preparation, staining, and cover slipping of cytology specimens
- Support intra-operative assessments in various departments
- Sign out cases with the Pathologist according to schedule
- Label and verify Cytology stained slides against requisitions
- Maintain and clean cytology equipment and supplies
- Process send out samples and reports
- Maintain records as per regulatory requirements
What We Need To See
- Bachelor's degree in ASCP Registry or from a Certified Cytology School
- Certification by the New York State Board of Clinical Laboratory Technology
- ASCP certification as an International Medical Laboratory Scientist
- Minimum of 3 years experience screening gynecological and non-gynecological specimens and fine needle aspirations
