Quality Process Engineer - Manufacturing

The Impact You'll MakeDanfoss is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer! This person will drive continuous improvement and ensure product and process excellence through the implementation and oversight of the Quality Management System (QMS). This role supports manufacturing operations, leads structured problem-solving efforts, and ensures compliance with quality standards and certifications.The Quality Engineer will collaborate cross-functionally to resolve quality issues, support new product launches, and maintain customer satisfaction by ensuring consistent product quality and process performance.Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorshipWhat You’ll Be DoingResponsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for plant quality issues, including facilitating 8D problem-solving teams and verifying implementation of permanent solutionsIdentify and drive quality improvement initiatives aligned with plant and organizational objectivesInterface with customers to resolve quality concerns, including managing returns, credits, and complaintsSupport new product launches through participation in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and completion of PPAP submissionsMaintain and update quality documentation including Control Plans, PFMEA, and process data tracking systemsSupport ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 certifications, including audits, compliance activities, and document controlProvide training to employees on quality tools, procedures, and standardsPerform Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and Gauge R&R studies and maintain measurement equipmentCollaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams on quality-related projects and continuous improvement initiativesPrepare and present internal and external quality reports and performance metricsWhat We're Looking ForRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in engineering OR equivalent experience (5+ years quality engineering experience with 10+ years manufacturing experience and active pursuit of an engineering degree)Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standardsExperience with quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, DOE, APQP, and 8DProficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP)Preferred QualificationsExperience in a quality engineering or manufacturing roleInternship or project experience in quality control, process improvement, or manufacturing operations (for entry-level candidates)Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certificationExperience in extrusion or hose manufacturing environmentsWhat You'll Get from UsAt Danfoss, we believe that a diverse and inclusive workplace fosters creativity, innovation, and a broader perspective in decision-making.
